Trix Rosen is a New York based photojournalist whose fine art photography portfolios include images of a breast cancer survivor, portraits of gay men and lesbians that focus on gender identity and ambiguity, and the time-worn beauty of historic architectural landmarks and Jewish cemetery tombstones.

Her profoundly intimate photographs of a woman who had undergone a double mastectomy and bravely explores the physical and emotional contours of her new form culminated in the New York City exhibition,'CHANGED LANDSCAPES.'

'HE-SHE,' is part of an ongoing series of portraits that meld male and female imagery and was part of an exhibition on gender identity at the PHD Gallery in St Louis, Mo last June. Enter into a trompe l'oeil painted room and be confronted by 'The Illusionist,' a man who appears both handsome and beautiful, and who is empowered and transformed by the duality of his sexuality.

'URBAN ARCHEOLOGY' is a series of large format fine art prints from HABS preservation projects produced for the Library of Congress that document the historic details of both abandoned and restored sites and structures.

"My instinct has always been to find the story at the heart of every project. I look to the deeply etched memories in the stones and structures with the same passion that I look to the defining gesture and moment of truth in my portraits and documentary essays."
